Bachelor in Sustainable Tropical Agriculture

The Department offers a four-year degree program leading to a Bachelor in Sustainable Tropical Agriculture. Students who score less than 70% in the second year graduate with a Diploma in Sustainable in Sustainable Tropical Agriculture after their third year of study as an exit plan.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR BACHELOR PROGRAM
Grade 12 Higher School Certificate (or equivalent) grade of ‘B’ or better in Language & Literature; Maths A (or Maths B); Biology;
Chemistry; and Physics. GPA is 2.8 or higher.

Description

CAREER PATHWAYS
Graduates work as extension officers, lecturers/teachers, soil scientists, managers, entomologists, agronomists, consult-ants, etc. They are employed by organisations such as New Britain Palm Oil Limited, National Agriculture Quarantine and Inspection Authority, NARI, Trukai Industries, Niugini Tablebirlds, Department of Agriculture & Livestock, PNG Cocoa Board, Hargy Oil Palm and many others. We also equip our students with the skills to become employers not employees.
