There are three main subject areas: Fisheries Sciences; Marine Sciences and Aquaculture. Students who score less than 70% in the second year graduate with a Diploma in Sustainable Fisheries Marine Resources after their third year of study as an exit plan.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

Grade 12 Higher School Certificate (or equivalent) grade of

‘B’ or better in Language & Literature; Math’s A (or Math’s B);

Biology; Chemistry; Physics. GPA is 2.8 or higher.

Research Career Pathway – Marine Biology, Oceanography, Freshwater Ecology, Fisheries Climatology, Fish Population Dynamics, etc.

Applied Career Pathway – Fisheries Management, Aquaculture, Ecotourism, Education, Environmental Consulting; Fisheries Consulting; Conservation, Food Technology, etc.
