CFSE Digital Campus seeks tutors
PNG UNRE’s Centre for Self-Education (CFSE) is looking to recruit remote tutors for its Online Grade 12 Upgrading Program.
The program gives students a second chance to improve their academic results through flexible digital learning to access further education and employment opportunities.
Tutors are being sought for these Grade 12 subjects: English (Applied English and Language & Literature), General Mathematics, Advanced Mathematics, Economics, History, Geography, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Accounting and Business Studies.
CFSE Digital Campus is encouraging applications from registered secondary school teachers with the PNG Teaching Services Commission, experienced subject specialists, national examination markers, and newly qualified teachers with strong digital skills.
PNG UNRE (and University of Vudal) graduates, who are registered teachers are encouraged to apply.
CFSE Director Ms Stephanie Tringin said applicants must have their own laptop and mobile phone to support online teaching and internet connectivity.
She explained this is because tutors are expected to deliver lessons remotely (from anywhere in PNG) and must have the flexibility to record lectures and tutorials outside normal hours for upload ahead of scheduled classes.
Applicants need to demonstrate strong knowledge of the PNG Grade 11 and 12 syllabus, confidence in using online platforms such as Google Classroom, Zoom and Microsoft PowerPoint, and a willingness to integrate artificial intelligence tools into teaching practice.
All successful applicants will receive short training in the use of AI as a teaching tool, Google Classroom, Zoom and Microsoft PowerPoint. They will be paid fortnightly on an hourly basis, with teaching loads based on four hours per week.
A complete application must include a cover letter, updated curriculum vitae with Teaching Services Commission registration details, evidence of subject expertise or national marking experience where applicable, and a one to three minute introductory video, outlining their qualifications, teaching experience, subject specialisation and motivation for joining the program.
All must be submitted to selfeducation@unre.ac.pg by 5pm on Friday February 13, 2026. No paper applications will be accepted.
